The Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond is the higher-value Premium denomination currently offered under the registered Prize Bond system. This page keeps its latest result, important prize details and historical draw archive together so investors can move quickly between current and previous results.
Because Rs.40,000 Premium Bonds are registered products, the payment process is different from an ordinary bearer Prize Bond.
Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Amounts
The official Premium Prize Bond rules set the Rs.40,000 prize structure at one First Prize of Rs.80,000,000, three Second Prizes of Rs.30,000,000 each, and 660 Third Prizes of Rs.500,000 each.
| Prize | Winners | Prize Amount |
|---|---|---|
| First Prize | 1 | Rs.80,000,000 |
| Second Prize | 3 | Rs.30,000,000 each |
| Third Prize | 660 | Rs.500,000 each |
National Savings currently identifies Rs.80 million as the highest Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond prize.
The Third Prize contains hundreds of winning numbers, so this hub should show the amount and number of winners but leave the complete list on the individual draw page.
Rs.40,000 Premium Bonds Are Registered
Unlike the ordinary Rs.100, Rs.200, Rs.750 and Rs.1,500 Prize Bonds, the Premium Rs.40,000 bond is registered to the investor.
National Savings says Premium Prize Bonds are available to adult Pakistani citizens and Overseas Pakistanis under the applicable requirements. Purchase documentation includes identity and registered bank-account information.
The product combines quarterly prize draws with bi-annual profit payments, making it different from an ordinary Prize Bond that does not offer the same registered Premium profit feature.
How Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Money Is Paid
One important advantage of the registered system is the payment arrangement.
National Savings says Premium Prize Bond prize money and profit are directly credited into the investor’s registered bank account, with no separate application form required for the normal prize and profit payment process.
Because payment depends on registered banking information, investors should keep relevant records accurate.
For unusual payment or account problems, follow the current instructions of the issuing/authorized institution rather than treating the ordinary Prize Bond claim procedure as identical.

National Savings maintains historical Rs.40,000 Premium draw files, while the Prize Bond Schedule should be used for future draw dates.
Tax on Rs.40,000 Premium Winnings
Premium Prize Bond prize money is subject to withholding tax. National Savings currently states 15% for ATL/filers and 30% for non-filers, and says tax also applies to Premium Bond profit.
On an Rs.80 million First Prize, that difference is substantial, so use the Prize Bond Tax Calculator instead of calculating from an old tax rate saved elsewhere.
